Hi Family & Friends This is my little piece of heaven!! I wish I could stay here always!!!  As soon as the boat pushes off the mainland in Kavala my soul finds a sense of peace and quiet that I never experience anywhere else. It is strange, but going to Thassos Island is my place in heaven on earth. Last year I spent 2 nights, this year 2 nights, next year at least 5 nights!! I want that peace to penetrate my heart and soul to last me all the rest of the 360 days of the year!!! My absolute favorite heavenly place is La Scala Beach. My girlfriend Dora told me about it last year and I stopped by to take a look last year and was overwhlemed by the beauty. This year my goal was to go to La Scala, rent the front cabana, and stay all day into the evening and eat dinner there. I WAS SUCCESSFUL!!!  We arrived 11:30am and stayed through dinner till 9:30pm.....we left the beach in the darkness, we were the last people to leave, and we said good night to La Scala till next ...

Hi Everyone Today I cooked for the family today. It was a mixture of different cultures: Greek & Italian Theo and I spent the morning collecting all our farm fresh ingredients at the weekly giant farmer's market. It is Theo's favorite place to be.....he walks the market like a local, talking to the people (at least answering their questions about how cute he is, what's your name, sweet boy, etc etc etc) and he pulls the market cart, weaving in and out of tons of people, directing me to the vendors with the best produce (fruits & veggies). We went, we bought, we enjoyed so much the fruits of our labors.....did I mention that I went to bed at 3:00am the night before and had Theo's gentle little hands poking me awake at 8:00am saying "Mommy, remember we are going to Laiki (farmer's market in greek)......my response, give me 5 more minutes and yes we are going!" Bon Jour Family & Friends Many of you know that my absolute, no question, favorite place in the world is Paris! Greece is a close second! I love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love PARIS! I absolutely LOVE everything about Paris. I even like the word Paris and how it looks written on a piece of paper, a map, a sign, anything for that matter!! One of my close friends Lone is turning 40 this summer. And with her sister and her husband, she invited me to join them in Paris for her birthday celebration. Of course, thanks to the support of my hubby Phil, was able to spend 4 glorious days in Paris!!! Lone travelling from Norway and myself travelling from Greece, we met in the City of Lights!!! Our hotel was located 1/2 a block from the Siene, 2 blocks from The Notre Dame and Saint Michel. Our location was absolutely perfect!!
